WIND POWER!!!


Measuring weather.

MATERIALS

 

  1. 2 sticks       
  2.                                                 4 cups 
  3.                                                sellotape 
  4. pencil with eraser at bottom 
  5. pin 
  6. sticky note   

STEPS  

  1.   
  2. Get your materials
  3.   put your 2 sticks in a cross shape
  4.   put your four cups on the end of the sticks (2 on each stick)
  5.   tape the cups
  6.   tape the sticks in place 
  7. et a pencil and a pin
  8. pin goes in the rubber of the pencil

Roles:
  • Timekeeper
  • Counter
  • Recorder
  • Anemometer Manager
  • Wind Manager
  1. Mount the anemometer in a place that has full access to the wind from all directions.
  2. When the time keeper says "Go", the counter in each group will count how many times the marked cup passes them in one minute and write it down.
  3. Repeat the above step four (4) times and record the number of spins on the chart.

FINDINGS

  • Record how many times it spins and record it in the table below.
  • You will need to time them and count the number of spins.

TIEKE + SADDLEBACK

They are found on the offshore islands of New Zealand.

 

They live in the forest. They are medium sized birds at 9 10  
Females warm incubate eggs for 3 weeks 
The english name for Tieke is Saddleback
They are found on the offshore islands of New Zealand
They eat flower nectar, fruit, insects, grubs and seeds

WHAT I DID IN THE HOLIDAYS ;)

In the holidays I did my PB in my drag car I did 167 mph  and after drag racing me and my mum and dad and my dads friend and and one of my friend we  to the pub and me and my friend got a ginger beer and we played pool I had a game of pool with my friend and he won and my dad had a game of pool with my friend and my dad lost and my grandad had a game of pool with my friend and my grandad lost and on friday I went to  hamner with my mum we went in the pool's  and went in a cool cool maze! In the maze we needed to find clues which where hidden
