3. What is one possible solution from the story about oxygen on Mars?

NASA has a machine that makes oxygen

4. If it doesn’t rain on Mars, where does the water come from? You could look for water by drilling deeper into the ground.

5. How will people get food on Mars? What is a possible solution? On 

Earth, we already have a way to grow crops without soil. It’s called hydroponics. Martian crops could also be grown in special nutrient-rich water.

In Hurumanu 4 we did writing and drawing about villians and heros i really enjoyed drawing my villian.

Jack and Josh were in the Bank in town to get some money out. Jack looked around and he heard a noise. THEN the door of the Bank smashed open. 

John ran in with a mask on and a gun in his hand.  He started yelling at people to get on the ground.  He yelled at the man behind the desk to open the vault.  John pointed the gun at Jack and Josh and everyone else.  The security man refused to open up the vault,  John needed  the money badly because of some of the  things he has done in his life so John shot him dead.  Jack and Josh got up and tried to run away but it was too late.  They both got shot too.  

John finally got the keys from the security man’s pocket,  after he shot him dead.

 He opened the vault and took heaps of cash with him and escaped. The vault was located at the very back of the bank the vault was a massive steel door.

John got inside his car and left.  The police chased him, however they couldn’t catch him and he sped off.  He left Auckland and went to L.A and had a family his son's name was Max. He was 8 yrs old  John’s  life was finally getting better.

World War 2 started in 1939 and ended in 1945. 85  million people died. They had 8 types of guns in WW2 they were M1918 BAR and a Bren Infantry LMG and a Thompson Submachine Gun and a The Sten Gun and a PPSh-41 and a  Colt 1911 and a  Lee-Enfield Rifle. Canadian Sgt and a M1 Garand. In 1940.  The population of nz was 1.6 million people and 104 thousand men and woman served in ww2. 12 thousand nz people died. And 8 million horses died in ww2.

My Character Strengths

We had to go an a website and do a quiz asking questions about our strengths. A character strength is something that you are good at. These are my character strengths.

1. Humour- I am  good at seeing the funny side of life and making people laugh.

2. Gratitude- I appreciate the small things in life.

3. Love- I listen and show I care and make people feel important so I am really good at building strong relationships.

4. Bravery- I do things even if I am scared and I am  afraid.

5.  Curiosity- I ask alot of questions because I want to know.

ELLA WEST VISIT

Today period 1 Ella west came to our school for a visit and talked to us about how she makes books and how she gets the ideas about them here is two of her books she told us about her it took her about 3 years to make her first book the Thieves. She at least  1000 words each day

Aotearoa History Show

Today we watched the Aotearoa history show about the New Zealand wars. We learnt:

.The maori prophet saw an angel

1862  

. the British soldiers were guarding the land from maori 

. the Europeans killed two young Maori boys 

. by the 1860s the British found out ways to get to them 

. by 1872 the new zealand wars were  nearly over 

 3000 people died in the wars- 2000 were Maori

Matariki

Matariki is all about celebration, and spending time with family Matariki was also important for agriculture. The coming of Matariki symbolized the harvest festival where the Maori feasted on the crops they had prepared. Matariki is important because it also is the time to restart the Maori calendar.
